The recent changes in the law regarding abstraction licences for water have now made it easier than ever to procure your own ‘private’ water supply.

Geotechnical Ltd can provide full turnkey solution to your water problems. We are capable of meeting all your requirements, be they light domestic or heavy industrial.

The changes to the Water Act now allow abstractions of up to 20,000 litres per day from your borehole without the need for a licence (see information section). Supplies in excess of this would need to be applied for and registered with the Environment Agency, a service that we can undertake for you.

The cost of a borehole can range from £5000.00 to £10,000+ and is dependant on many factors such as the geology, depth to bedrock, depth to water, pump size etc….

Our boreholes are constructed to the highest current standards and incorporate an internal high quality plastic well casing and filter to prolong the life of your borehole and provide the best quality water available. We use and install products of only the highest quality so you can be sure you get what you pay for.

Once the prognosis and design phase is complete and dependent on availability we can begin the on-site works. This generally takes around two weeks. During which time the hole will be drilled, cased, lined and the pump installed and tested.  Any additional ground works required will be carried out once the drilling equipment is out of the way. We can supply and install additional pumping equipment tailored to suit your needs and applications.

We also work closely with a water treatment company specialising in removal of contaminants and bacteria from a supply.
